A challenging 2.3km stage was cleverly crafted at the Sepang F1 Circuit, by linking sections of parking areas and roads. It featured all kinds of corners plus elevation changes, and was run five times during the day.

SR Motorsport entered regular team driver James Russell in his trusty GC8 Impreza, and he duly walked away with trophies for First in Class and First Junior Driver.

Also representing the team, in an older GC8, was promising new rally driver Azry Mohd. Noor. Azry managed to walk away with Third in Class plus Best Rookie Driver, despite spending parts of the day arguing with kerbs and gate posts!

Stars of the day though were the organizers, who managed to attract a huge and diverse entry of 57 cars. Many of these were new to the sport, with most being hooked and vowing to continue.

For the team, we were happy to end the day with four trophies.
